Literature Text

Look down to the ground, and there the children play,
Watch watch watch, but do not turn away;
See the ugly horror we do, and be forever stone,
As we change and you remain and feel so alone.

Red face on in the evening, for our fires smoking breaths,
Pale toned with the long nights, with but a faint caress;
So cold in the night, just waiting for the day,
When another drifting one could come on by and stay.

Could only wait and wish, to warm you for a while,
A friend you cannot forget, but still you cannot smile;
For thousands more taunt you, all are too greatly far away,
Shoot by you at fantastic speeds flying far away.

Let the waters flow with you, then have calm days of glee,
Have your dark times shroud yourself, and then glow so happily;
So simple but not prettied up, brilliant colors do not last,
You are who you are bearing the scars of your past.

Always on the move, what are you looking for?
Have more and less than all we have, do or do not you ask for more?
Poem idea I had; started yesterday I think. 9-18-11
